We are looking for graduates to join our diverse and international colleagues within Cognizant to provide services to our clients across industry sectors within Cognizant’s Digital Operations department.

An introduction to Cognizant Digital Operations

The Digital Operations business unit within Cognizant, has supported a number of multinational banking, insurance and facility companies delivering a growing portfolio of services spanning both development and support, delivering a large variety of consulting services and application supports.

Your role as Digital Operations Consultant

Within Digital Operations you will work with teams of consultants providing your expertise on:

  • Business and Target Operating Model
  • Global Sourcing Transformation
  • Process Optimization
  • Lean and Six Sigma Transformation
  • Process Automation (Robotics/Desktop)

You’ll partner with clients from leading companies worldwide across a range of industries, providing them with strategic and operations advice. In addition to working directly with clients, you will also share your experiences and insights with colleagues across the continent, thereby expanding your knowledge and refining approaches in the field of Digital Operations.

Key Responsibilities

In Cognizant, you’ll use your knowledge creatively to influence others. Making important contributions to the analysis, design, and implementation of Digital Operations. You will develop tailor-made solutions working closely with clients to ensure sustainable results. Concurrently, you will expand your knowledge and develop your professional skills on an ongoing basis.

 

We’ll expect you to have an entrepreneurial mind, challenge conventional assumptions and spark thoughtful debate. This is one of the best ways to resolve issues with fresher, smarter answers to our clients’ toughest problems.

Typical day to day responsibilities for this role will include:

  • Requirements gathering / analysis to enable project team to understand functional requirements
  • Business process documentation
  • Support solution teams and client teams throughout the project/ program lifecycle – through design, build, test, go-live, post go-live support and organizational change management
  • Contribute in knowledge management activities by creating case studies, domain artefacts etc.
  • Pull together research presentations and meeting facilitations
  • Support building the domain capability in chosen sub-domain thereby honing their consulting skills
  • Create customer presentations: support the Manager Consulting / Consultant, in customer presentations by gathering relevant information
  • Contribute to building IP through White Papers, solution accelerators etc.
  • Gather relevant information from the respective teams and support business development in Requests For Proposal (RFP) responses
  • Gather information and data, as well as conceptualize and design solutions identified for specific customer engagements
Personal development

Prior to starting your first client engagement, you will attend a three weeks induction abroad to ensure you have a solid understanding of Cognizant’s culture and processes. You will have the opportunity for further training and support by our own Academy to help you achieve your long-term career goals, like working with different cultures, requirement gathering, project management, agile development and many more.

The induction program normally starts in January, May or September. These are also the moments when you will start.

In addition to your day to day project manager and your supervisor, we will assign a mentor from another Cognizant practice to ensure you get all the help and support you need to start your career on the best footing.

Requirements:
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree (technology or business related degrees are desirable but not essential we are more interested in how you can channel your academic background to add value to our business)
  • Fluent in Dutch and in English
  • Maximum of 1-year work experience
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with global project teams, as well as on your own
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willingness to relocate, travel and work in countries outside your home country
