“I got into photonics by accident, but it became an exciting journey. I co-founded Luceda Photonics to create new tools for designing photonic chips, and it was an intense, fast-paced environment. Later, I returned to academia to focus on research, like developing programmable photonics. The field is constantly evolving, offering lots of opportunities to innovate.
