The traineeship

We offer a state of the art traineeship focused around digital transformation and the improvement of business results within Supply Chain Management at Philips.

Your master degree and digital mind-set are a great starting point, but to be effective within Philips you need a lot more! To be successful you must want to deep dive into the business and identify opportunities for Philips to improve their business processes through technology. You will have an important role in bringing people together and will be the champion of change throughout the process. Together with business teams you will implement new strategies and sustain technological development. During our 24- month traineeship you will learn how you can be most effective in leading others in digital projects within various environments towards higher organizational effectiveness.

We are looking for champions!

The program will consist out of:

  • On the job learning: working on two to four digital business projects;
  • Training: following an intensive training and development program focused on both your personal development and professional development in digital expertise;
  • Mentoring and Coaching: We help you to deliver results on your projects,  to discover your own talents and competences, and to accelerate the learning steps as a professional;
  • Peer to Peer learning: We guide you, together with your fellow trainees, towards the ultimate goal: Building a successful career at the interface of digital innovation and business;

Projects

What would you do if you are asked to analyze Philips supply chain data with the aim to provide information that will help senior leaders to make better decisions  with regard to our customers’ expectations? Or what would you do when you are requested to help building a way to visualize our supply chain all the way from raw materials to end product that is shipped to our customers? Are you excited about helping teams within Philips to better predict the requirements for new product launches through analysis?

If these questions are interesting enough to you, then the traineeship projects will most certainly appeal.

The projects you will work on involve the identification, implementation and adoption of new technology that solves business challenges within Philips. Roles can take place in different stages of transformation towards more data and fact based business performance. In the first year your focus will primarily be within Supply Chain. Scope may broaden in the second year of the program. 

Ideation projects: You will Identify business problems and business opportunities and experiment with new technologies to meet business issues. You role will focus on analytics, peer interviews and experimentation. 

Implementation projects: You will Implement new technology within business teams of Philips. This means that your role will have a strong focus on program and project management.  Adopt & Sustain: You will be the local champion in business for a new process or tool. Your professionalism and expertise will help the business to adopt the new way of working. Together with the team you bring the value for the local teams.

ORMIT and Philips

By now, you understand how much Philips needs digital talent. But you also get that people aren't born like that. They need to be trained, developed and coached... That’s what ORMIT does during your traineeship. In the next 24 months you will be working for ORMIT, on Philips projects. After successfully completing the traineeship, you will get the opportunity to pursue your career at Philips.

Requirements

What we look for in our Trainees? 

We’re building a multidisciplinary Trainee pool, so we do not fixate on specific master degrees. If you’re in doubt whether your profile matches, please contact us.

You can apply for the traineeship if you:

  • Have a Master’s degree in a digital field or have a more generic master degree with great affinity with disruptive technology or numerical science;
  • Have 0 – 2 years of work experience;
  • Have knowledge of and/or experience with data analytics and new technologies;
  • Are a self-starter with the ability to achieve results;
  • Are tech and business savvy;
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Are fluent in English. A second language (p.e. French, German, Spanish) is a nice to have.
