WHAT YOU'LL DO

Career Development (CD) is a talent management function at BCG. The CD team sits within Human Resources and manages all aspects of the performance process for consulting talent at BCG Amsterdam. 
We are recruiting for a Career Development Coordinator to join our fast-paced team. The role is heavily administrative, with the opportunity to grow- the successful applicant will act as a HR advisor to our consulting business and help shape the talent management strategy for junior consultants. The successful applicant will guide the business on queries related to talent development, performance management and career trajectory at BCG. The role will take on the following core responsibilities and other adhoc projects related to career development:

CD process
• Full ownership of the end to end Career Development process for Associate & Consulting cohorts (approximately 150~) including; preparing materials for performance reviews, agenda setting, meeting set up, allocation of Career Advisors to talent pool, tracking/chasing administration around the performance process, management of timely and accurate updates to BCG’s HR platform, setting up training as required, supporting senior level stakeholders including Managing Directors, coordinating with HR teams internally and managing leave periods including MBA placements and secondments 
• Day to day contact for all Career Development related enquiries in Amsterdam. You’ll managing all action steps out of Career Development meetings including documenting and administering all promotions and other moves. You’ll also communicate these to all relevant stakeholders such as Training & Staffing, Finance, Global Services, etc.
• Provide HR knowledge and advice to senior stakeholders on issues with their advisees

Additional responsibilities
• Deliver on annual bonus process for Amsterdam and participate in other adhoc tasks related to the annual bonus process  
• Partner with London based manager to deliver high profile projects to Amsterdam, London and Brussels based leadership on topics including Future of Work, Diversity and Inclusion, Sustainability and others
• Supporting CD team in delivering Career Development initiatives 
• Managing MBA and Educational leave processes for Amsterdam based A-C consulting talent 
• Managing the secondment placement process for Amsterdam based A-C consulting talent
• Advising/liaising with Career Advisors and the Career Development Chair on HR policies, MBA placements, secondment placements and training
• Ensuring all administration is completed ahead of performance meetings 
• Allocating Career Development Advisors to consultants: ensuring training and handover has taken place
• Working with senior leadership to improve Career Development processes
• Close collaboration with counterparts in London and Brussels to share, and learn from best practice 
• Ability to use your HR qualification/skills in HR advisory capacity
• Ensuring all administration is completed before and after performance meetings 
• Supporting rollout of new HR IS platform

• Once comfortable in your core role, we would like you to bring your initiative and drive to the team to lead on projects, help us improve the career development process and stretch to support other HR initiatives in London, Brussels and Amsterdam. 

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

• Experience working within a fast-paced and professional team is essential, with excellent attention to detail under time pressure. 
• Minimum of 1-3 years relevant experience with fluency in Dutch and English. 
• Strong working knowledge of PowerPoint. 
• Ability to manage, organise and prioritise large amounts of information and data.
• Proficient in the use of MS Excel to run reports and conduct some data analysis. 
• An expressed interest in a HR career and people development. A HR qualification is ideal, but not essential.  
• Experience in delivering projects and being part of project teams.  
• Open to learning technical platforms like advanced excel and Alteryx.
