SIEM Security Engineer
Security is a high priority issue these days. One of the responses on the need for more control and security is offering Security Information and Event Monitoring (SIEM) services from the Security Operations Centre (SOC). Our team is looking to amplify its capacity in the form of a Security Engineer.
Your role as SIEM Security Engineer
The Security Operations Centre within KPN Trusted Services handles Security monitoring, log management and various other security related services for internal and external customers. The team is highly skilled and has a continuous drive to share and obtain knowledge. To increase the shared knowledgebase, every member of the team takes part in the Trusted Services Academy. The activities take place from the SOC in Hilversum (Witte Kruislaan).
We are looking for studious and creative people that like to solve puzzles and enjoy getting to the bottom of an attack. As Security Engineer you will work closely with other security specialists in the team. You are the one responsible for the performance of the SOC Infrastructure, installing and configuring HP ArcSight components. Day to day tasks can be, but are not limited to:
- Deploying new data sources;
- Developing content for monitoring;
- Translating content to usecases;
- Testing and documenting.
You are an HP ArcSight expert and enjoy working with the framework. Besides knowledge on ArcSight, you also possess knowledge regarding various other security services like vulnerability management and security monitoring. Others regards you as the specialist. You have an affinity for Information Security and prepared to invest in knowledge obtainment and sharing. Further on you possess the following:
- Bachelor degree, preferably technical;
- Minimum 2 years experience with HP ArcSight ESM, flex connectors and Logger;
- Minimum 2 years experience with use case development and HP ArcSight content;
- Certified in HP ArcSight ESM Essentials, HP ArcSight ESM Use Case Foundatoins, HP ArcSight FlexConnector Configuration or prepared to achieve these;
- Flexibility, as you will be asked to work outside office hours;
- Analytical mind and strong communication skills;
- Creative & stress resistant and a source of knowledge for your coworkers.
